Ronald McDonald House Charity Painting Project
Thank You for Helping Us Help Families
The Denver PDCA was fortunate to be involved with the Denver Ronald McDonald House for its 2010 Charity Painting Project. The chapter was contacted by Kendra Ingles at RMH to see if we would be interested in helping in the refinishing of their 31 family guest rooms. The rooms received new furniture, bedspreads and of course a new paint job. Two weekends in November were selected to complete the painting work. We enlisted the help of both contractor and vendor members and promoted the painting dates to the greater metro area painting industry. Information and promotion of the dates was placed on the website, sent by email and surface mail, and posters and flyers were placed in several paint stores. The first weekend of work was completed by a total of twelve painting industry volunteers on Saturday and five on Sunday.
A Big THANK YOU goes out to all of our volunteers: Rick Kubacki and Roger Wilson of Ken Caryl Painting, Rockie Delmonico of Old Western Paint Co., Joel Parker with Kwal Paint, Greg Curtis with Colorado Scaffolding, Ed Finnen and Hugo Lerma with S & W Painting Co., Karen Van Dehy, Danielle Bond and Keith with Karen's Company, Chuck Gilmore with Gilmore Painting and Brandt Domas with A Work Systems Co.
